Document management programs, which one to choose?
Currently, no one doubts the advantages of document management in a company. The question is: Which one is better? Which one suits my needs?… It’s not an easy decision, since there are so many programs and many of them are similar.
Although it takes us time to decide, we must stop and think since it is something that we cannot decide lightly. An incorrect choice will condition the day-to-day work of our company for a long time. And it is that, obviously, when a company decides to invest an amount of money in document management software, it is so that it lasts for a long time, not to discard it after a few months.
First of all, we must be clear about what exactly we want the software for . This will largely depend on our business. And it is that a consultancy is not the same as a law firm and therefore, these two businesses are not going to use the same software. We have to keep in mind, as we said at the beginning, that not all programs are the same or do the same things.
If you are not sure what you want the document management program for, think about a normal day at work, what you do, who you do it for, the time you invest, etc. And then think about how often you do that job at your company. When you are clear about what you want to manage, you have to focus on the group of programs that offers us that solution. And the rest you will discard.
